WHEELS OF JUSTICE TOUR
VISITS CEDAR RAPIDS TO SPEAK ABOUT THE
OCCUPATIONS OF IRAQ AND PALESTINE

(Cedar Rapids IA: April 30, 2008)-- On May 7 and 8 in Cedar Rapids, Cedar Rapidians for Peace in the Middle East host the Wheels of Justice Tour. The tour brings first hand witness accounts from Iraq and Palestine to challenge and educate Americans about the repercussions of war and occupation both on people abroad and Americans at home.

Having seen and lived with war, terror and occupation in Iraq and Palestine, participants in the Wheels of Justice offer first-hand experience irrespective of partisan politics. Building upon the growing domestic and International movement against the war and occupation in both Iraq and Palestine, the Wheels of Justice Tour provides education, outreach, nonviolence/action training, active resistance, and community-building all across the United States. For details on the tour, see www.JusticeWheels.org.

Locally, the tour will make presentations in Cedar Rapids,

* Wednesday, May 7, 7-9 pm

at First Presbyterian Church, 310 5th St SE;

* Thursday, May 8, 3-5 pm, in Cedar Hall 234,

the theater room, at Kirkwood Community

* College; Thursday, May 8, 7-8:30 pm,

As people of conscience working for peace, Wheels for Justice advocates justice and human rights as the only real roadmap for peace at home and abroad, calling upon all parties involved to recognize and adhere to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and for nonviolent resistance to this violence of war, terror and occupation.

(http://www.nonviolence.org/vitw/), the Palestine Right to Return Coalition (http://Al-Awda.org), and the Middle East Children's Alliance (http://www.mecaforpeace.org/) with support from affiliates of the International Solidarity Movement.
